A business entity is a core concept that represent a legal or organizational entity (e.g., a company, subsidiary, or branch) in the system. It is designed to encapsulate the diverse structures a business might operate within.

A business entity consists of two hierarchical levels (Legal unit, Office), enabling detailed representation of a company’s operations.

Definition:

Legal UnitRepresents a distinct legal entity, such as a legally registered entity with a unique identifier.


OfficeRefers to a specific physical or operational location within a legal unit, such as a branch, department, or regional office.


IdentifiersRepresents a technical reference used to uniquely identify a Legal Unit or an Office.
